Pregnancy Pap Smear
A test usually performed during pregnancy, pap smear is used to detect conditions that would require cryotherapy, such as ASCUS.
If abnormal cells have been detected in the cervix, treatment is prescribed after delivery. For a greater accuracy of test results, avoid intercourse, douching, vaginal creams and medications 24 hours before the procedure. The test results are usually ready one to two weeks after the procedure.
