Bleeding After A Pap Smear
Light bleeding after a pap smear is possible if a patient has severe cervical dysplasia or other cervical changes.
Papanicolaou test is done as part of regular pelvic examination. Papanicolaou is a simple painless procedure that involves scraping a tissue from the cervix, placing it on a slide and examining under a microscope for abnormalities that could suggest cervical cancer or an infection.
