Thin Prep Pap Test
A thin prep pap test may be performed to help diagnose a urinary infection or a type of HPV.
This method allows an optional test to be made on the original sample when abnormal cells found. Since most kinds of tumor-causing HPV is associated with HPV infection, this method offers greater chances of finding the disease. As a benefit, unnecessary diagnostic surgical procedures for ASCUS may be avoided.
