ASCUS AGUS may be present when a vaginal wart or venereal wart is seen.
All women are recommended to have yearly Pap smears beginning at the age of 18 or when they become sexually active. If a woman has three annual negative Pap tests in a row, testing may be less frequent. Women at risk for cancer of the cervix should be tested more frequently.

The terms stand for Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance and Atypical Glandular cells of Undetermined Significance. The changes caused by these cells are within the top layer of the cervix, not causing cancer. Women having two or more abnormal Pap smears should undergo colposcopy and cervical biopsy. ASCUS AGUS may be present when a vaginal wart or venereal wart is seen.
